San Jose Qualifier
December 16, 2023
We kicked off our season with our first qualifier at Stratford Prep in San Jose, CA, in December 2023. Our robot showed steady improvement with each match, and we celebrated a fantastic win in qualification match 12 with a score of 156-57! By the end of the competition, we were thrilled to rank 13th out of 15 in the qualification matches. Most importantly, we were honored with the Inspire Award for our innovative robot design, outreach efforts, and software excellence. We also earned the Control Award 2nd place and the Think Award 2nd place. It was an incredible start to our season, filled with growth and success!
Saratoga Qualifier
January 28, 2024
At our second qualifier in January 2024, our robot showed significant improvement. We ranked 14th out of 27 teams after the qualifiers. In the elimination rounds, we were thrilled to be the first pick on the winning alliance! A big thank you to our alliance captain 9614 Hyperion and our alliance partner 21454 GalaxyBots for the exciting matches! Although our odometry wiring broke during the semi-finals, we managed to fix it just in time for the finals, adding to the intense and thrilling experience. We were also proud to earn the Think Award. It was an exhilarating event filled with teamwork and success!
NorCal Regionals
February 25, 2024
For the regionals, we aimed to enhance our robot by adding an extension intake and fine-tuning the depositing mechanism. Although we couldn't get it to work in time for the competition, we ranked 21st out of 23 teams in the Silicon Division. However, our dedication paid off as we received Inspire Award 2nd placeand advanced to the World Championships in Houston!
FIRST World Championships
April 16, 2024 - April 21, 2024
At Worlds in April, we faced some initial challenges, with many qualification matches being incredibly close. For instance, we narrowly lost our first match by just 2 points. However, over the next few days, our performance steadily improved. We were particularly proud of our last match, Q150, where everything worked perfectly! We had the opportunity to meet and connect with teams from around the world, making new friends along the way. We celebrated our achievements by eating delicious Texas Barbecue and, of course, ramen. To top it all off, we earned Motivate Award 3rd place in the Edison Division. This season has been a tremendous learning experience, and we look forward to continuing our journey of improvement and discovery.
